Have any of you stayed in the wilderness resort and the French Quartet? If so, What are the major differences? Which would you recommend?

No worries Douglas! Deciding between Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter is not your typical dilemma because no matter which resort you choose the outcome is a magical vacation. Wouldn't life be wonderful if all our issues had such marvelous answers?

Disney's French Quarter has a quaint, intimate atmosphere. In the midst of one of the world's busiest tourist attractions, this calm oasis is beautifully landscaped, provides easy access to all the recreation and dining options of Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside, and offers a wonderful pool with a turquoise sea serpent slide.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort have a rustic charm and a howdy!-let's-have-some-fun feel. The cabins offer by the door parking, room for six, and a kitchen with a refrigerator. The pool here is not as exciting as the ones at other WDW resorts, but the recreational choices are one of the best. Horseback riding, fishing, boat, bike, and golf cart rentals, nightly campfires with Chip'n Dale, and more provide endless entertaining options for your time away from the parks.

These two moderate resorts offer a great place to sleep and play while staying at Walt Disney World. Fort Wilderness is rustic with simple, roomy cabins. The French Quarter offers more elegant but smaller accommodations. Either choice will leave you smiling.

Please contact me again if you had questions concerning Disney's Wilderness Lodge rather than Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Guests often mix up these moderate and deluxe resorts. I will be happy to give you my thoughts on any resort.
