We have stayed at wilderness lodge in the past 2-3 years and there was a peaceful finger piking guitar music on the room information channel. Is this song available somewhere as I would like to be able to play that song on my system in our house. Thank you

Hey there, Lew! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney--what a great question. You've got a friend in me, and I'm happy to help the beat go on so you can enjoy some Disney-inspired music at home.

There are so many special touches at all of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels--they are truly a feast for the senses!  From the beautiful theming to the unique scents and music that characterize each resort, Guests feel immersed from the moment they set foot in the lobby. I love having some of these things in my home, too! It adds a little extra magic to the everyday and can transport us to our happy place.

Lew, I really hadn't thought much about the in-room music at the Disney resort hotels much and this question was really fun for me to research! I am definitely familiar with the lobby music at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, which includes some famous pieces by Aaron Copland, but tracking down the guitar music you mentioned was a journey for sure.

Based on my conversations with some helpful Cast Members and a few other Disney experts, I believe the song that you're looking for is "Road to Oregon" by Charlie Jefferson (from the album Memories of America). This seems like a perfect fit for a resort inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest!

One tip for a magical home listening experience--if you start a new channel on your favorite streaming service based on "Road to Oregon" and add in some other Disney-related favorites, you can curate a personal soundtrack that will bring some pixie dust to your daily routine.

I hope you enjoy your magical background music, Lew, and that it evokes all of the best memories of your time at the Wilderness Lodge. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, and please reach out again anytime if we can help with other questions.

    Stay Magical!
