We have stayed many times before at Walt Disney Resorts as a couple, but this time we are bringing a little Princess with us. We are gonna be staying from late march until early april. Is it any updates on the Disney Dining Plan?

Hello Virginia! Welcome to planDisney! It's been a long time since I can remember a couple's trip! I have two little princesses myself and I have to say, bringing them along has only enhanced our vacations at the Walt Disney World Resort! Seeing it all from their point of view is the greatest of all. I have the best memory of my little ones watching the Festival of Fantasy Parade (which is returning to the Magic Kingdom Park on March 9th!) and watching them light up as all of their favorite characters and princesses went by. They even got a kiss blown their way by Alice herself!

Disney continues to bring back entertainment experiences and dining locations periodically. Recently they announced the re-opening of the Flying Fish located at Disney's Boardwalk and Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White over at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Modified meet and greets have begun popping up at the Magic Kingdom Park and over at Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can find Princess Tiana and Cinderella meeting with Guests at Princess Fairytale Hall and Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight! (Socially distanced of course.)

Although there has not been any chatter about a return of the Disney Dining Plan, that does not mean that things will not change by the time of your visit. I would recommend continuing forward and making Advanced Dining Reservations to secure your spots. This way, if it does come back in some form, you should be able to add it to your existing reservation.

I have a tip that I have been sharing recently for Guests that enjoyed having their meals paid for prior to visiting. Check out the menus of where you plan to eat, and then purchase Disney Gift Cards for the amount you expect to spend. You'll be able to use the gift cards as payment and have the benefit of having your food and drink already accounted for before you come. I used this idea on my last visit and it worked out perfectly. It was just like using the Disney Dining Plan except just presenting a card at the end of the meal.

Virginia, make sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for any updates and announcements! I hope you have a magical first visit with your little princess!

    See ya real soon!
