we have stayed at all stars and port Ireland French quarter. Wehen we come back with 17 yr old I want to stay in moderate or higher. But why? Many are very big complexes and more walking? How do I convince to spend more? Tell me the benefits to spend?

Hi, Kerri! Thank you for bringing your question to our Disney Parks Moms Panel!

While the Deluxe Disney Resort hotels are very diverse, they all share common traits: great dining options, proximity to Theme Parks, spectacular pools, and spacious rooms. To me, they are perfect for a trip where you will have some extra hours to enjoy with your loved ones.

Beyond these common traits, they all offer distinctive (and fantastic) reasons to visit. Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort, for example, share the best pool I've ever seen in my life: the 3-acre Stormalong Bay. Disney's BoardWalk Inn, on the other hand, offers a fantastic quarter-mile promenade that's perfect for an evening stroll. They are so beautifully themed and well equipped that I have friends who spend three whole days at these hotels before visiting a Theme Park.

Another quality that makes them unique, in my opinion, is their design. Some of them are large, indeed, but their designs feature restaurants, bars, shops, pools, and amenities that make for delightful strolls. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the perfect example in this category: its internal courtyard is a landscaping masterpiece!

They are also incredible for travelers who want to enjoy the magic at all times, as they're closer to the Theme Parks. Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are so close to Magic Kingdom Park that transportation is an attraction in itself.

Finally, I'll talk about one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels: Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is so superbly themed that it transports you to a place where global references meet imagination. It also offers three of my favorite Disney restaurants: Jiko - The Cooking Place, Sanaa, and The Mara. This Disney Hotel, in my opinion, is an inspiring piece of art!

You will not regret the splurge of staying at a Disney Deluxe Hotel, Kerri, and I'm sure that one of them is a perfect match for your style. The Disney Parks Moms Panel would love to help you find it, so don't hesitate to come back!

Let us know if we can help you choose your Disney Deluxe Hotel, Kerri!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
