    We have stayed at All Stars movies, All Stars Sports and last summer The Contemporary. We are planning another trip for this summer, I have 2 boys ages 16 and 9, what resort would be best? Wilderness Lodge or Grand Floridian? Thanks for your help!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question! I really enjoy being a Guest at Disney Resort hotels and taking advantage of all the amazing benefits they offer. Staying at a Deluxe Disney Resort hotel gives you even more amenities, dining and recreation options.

    I have had the opportunity of staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and I must say that both at excellent destinations if you are traveling with your boys. The recreation options at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge include fishing, bike rentals, campfire activities and Guests are transported to the great outdoors. Whispering Canyon Café is a very popular dining destination and you are just a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park.

    However, I believe that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a location that simply cannot be beat. I love the convenience of the monorail stop and being so close to Magic Kingdom. You can also use the monorail to travel to Epcot, and in the evening I really enjoy going back to the hotel by boat.

    Since you are visiting during the summer, have you considered staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort? This is my family’s favorite Disney Resort hotel and the perfect summer destination. It is just a boat ride away from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and all the Star Wars excitement with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and a short walk from Epcot, the Disney Skyliner, and Disney’s BoardWalk. The highlight of this Disney Resort hotel is Stormalong Bay, an amazing 3-acre beachside water park where your boys will have a lot of fun cooling off from the heat.
