Hiya Daniel!
Welcome back again to planDisney! I stayed at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort earlier this year and loved how peaceful and beautiful the Resort was. Did you know that Sassagoula River which flows right next to this Resort uses the Native American name for the Mississippi River? Ok, that's all the fun facts I have for you today, let's head to the meat of this question.
We didn't get a chance to ride the Sassagoula River Cruise during our trip but we did see them running in February. However, I did hear about how water levels affected their operation recently. But Daniel, good news, they are currently back up and running as rain has been plentiful! Just last week I encountered healthy daily rains that I am sure are refilling the river nicely. However, we cannot predict how the weather will work out for your trip in July. It is the rainy season so I expect it will be fine but I cannot guarantee the weather. I am crossing my fingers it all works out for you!
Just a heads up, the Sassagoula River Cruise shuts down around 7:30 to 8 pm to allow for the performance of
Disney Dreams That Soar presented by AT&T. Since you are staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort I suggest not heading to
Disney Springs but staying along the riverfront on the Resort side to enjoy the show. It will be far less crowded and you will still enjoy an amazing experience.
I hope this helps and you have a lovely time floating down the river.
Happy Planning!
