Stayed POR on first trip this year,it is so pretty and relaxed, we loved it, but looking for a change next year. Perhaps one with a quieter pool with slides for our 7 year old daughter for our 'down' days. Perhaps Beach club but is it worth the extra cost?

    Hi Angie!

I'm so glad to hear that you're already planning your family's next visit to Walt Disney World!

I  enjoy the property at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside as well. It's so beautiful and relaxing indeed. One of the many wonderful things about Walt Disney World is the variety of resorts available to choose from - making each and every visit different from the previous one!

Disney's Beach Club is amongst my favourite resorts and locations and definitely worth every penny in my opinion. Although many resorts do have both a feature pool and 'quiet' pools, you'll find that the water slides are only located at the busier 'feature pool' area. Beach club does have a quiet pool located not far from Stormalong Bay for times when you'd like some solitude for your daughter or the family.

Another fantastic location to consider that has a very beautiful, tucked-away feel with a gorgeous pool and water slide is Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort. Located close to the Magic Kingdom, it's tucked away behind the trees just around the corner of Bay Lake from Disney's Contemporary Resort. The relaxing boat ride to Magic Kingdom is so enjoyable. The vast pool area is tucked inside the towering resort and its trees and features a water slide, meandering 'creeks' and waterfalls, children's activities in the mid-late afternoon and so much more. It's a definite family favourite for many. Wilderness Lodge's price point comes in a little below that of Beach Club and is a perfect place to consider for your first 'upgraded' stay.

If you have additional questions about either of these fantastic Walt Disney World Resort properties, please don't hesitate to write me back. I'd love to hear from you again Angie!

Wishing you a simply Magical time as you plan your next visit to Walt Disney World!
