We stayed at Pop Century last year for our first Disney trip and loved it! We decided to go again this year (Sept 2010). Should we stay with Pop or try somewhere else? What are the pros and cons of the different value resorts?

    Hey Dannette,

Vacationing at Walt Disney World often shows us that we are creatures of habit. We know we had a great time last time and we want our next vacation to be just as fun or better. So, I understand why you want to go back to Pop Century. I actually love all of the Value Resorts. They have a special charm to them, especially if all you are doing is sleeping after exhausting days at the parks. The All-Star resorts are all very similar and very different at the same time. They all have their own themes but they have the larger than life icons that are so cool to look at. Since you loved Pop Century so much, I am going to recommend that you try All-Star Movies this time around. You and your family will be equally as thrilled when you see Lady and the Tramp, Woody, Buzz-Lightyear and the Dalmatians and all of the other movie icons. All-Star Movies has so much eye candy in which every one can relate. Generally, the Value resorts feel very familiar once you have stayed at one. You know exactly what to expect because they are all designed very similar, ie: the food courts, the pool placements, the bars etc.

If you are planning to use Disney Transportation to get around, there is usually one bus that is dedicated to Pop Century while the All Star Resorts sometimes share buses. I hope this little bit of info helps. See ya in September!
