Stayed at POFQ last (first) trip & wondering if going to a value resort, which is alot more walking is worth the $400 that I might save. My dd will be 7 & we are going to spend more time at the resort this trip. Will we be disappointed?

    Hi, Charmaine!

I am a huge fan of French Quarter, and since you have stayed there I will not go into detail how fun this resort is.  However, I also really enjoy Pop Century, a great Value Resort.  Here is what you will find to be different when changing from a Moderate to a Value:

-Rooms are smaller at a Value Resort, and beds are full (double beds) vs. the queen beds at Moderate Resorts
-Food Court will be much busier due to more guests
    -No pool slide
-Only bus transportation, no boat transportation to Downtown Disney like you had at French Quarter
-A bit more hustle and bustle, not as relaxing

Now, that said, I really enjoy our stays at Pop Century.  We request water view rooms in the 50's section where it is generally very quiet, with a 5-7 minute walk to the food court and bus stops.  You still get all the perks of staying on property and 24/7 Disney fun!   You really cannot go wrong with either choice, so good luck deciding.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
