    Delnilla from NC Asked

I have stayed up through midnight trying to book a dinner reservation for the last 2 nights and I still cannot get a reservation for 3 people. Could I get some assistance please?

    Hi Delnilla,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm super duper excited to hear that you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season! You're going to LOVE all of the festive details and wonderful special events, and you'll head back home with a heart full of Christmas joy and Disney magic.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some trouble with making dining reservations, though. As a friend recently said to me, "Mickey food is life," and I know how important it is to try to find the perfect place to dine during your vacation. Dining Reservations do open up each morning beginning 60 days in advance, as early as 5:45 AM Eastern time. I recently booked some reservations for my own upcoming vacation, and I did notice that some restaurants didn't seem to show availability first thing in the morning, though. I'd encourage you to just keep checking! If you have your heart set on a specific location but aren't able to find openings, please don't give up. Guests' plans change frequently, and something could open up, especially the day or two beforehand as they're trying to avoid paying no-show charges. Did you know, too, that many popular table-service restaurants offer the chance to join a walk-up list within the My Disney Experience mobile app? Simply click the plus sign, select "Check Dining Availability," choose your party size and the current date, then click "Now" to see what's available. I'm sending pixie dust that you'll find the perfect places to dine during your visit!

One more piece of advice? Don't be afraid to try something new to you if you're unable to find the reservation you were originally hoping for. I've found some true hidden gems through the years and have favorite dishes at all kinds of different restaurants!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Delnilla. Wherever you end up dining, I hope you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
