HI there Maureen,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for reaching out to us with your great question. It sounds like you are a seasoned Walt Disney World Resort traveler, I am so glad you are planning another visit to the "Most Magical Place on Earth"!
You are absolutely correct, Maureen. Currently if you are booking a room only stay at one of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, once you have paid the deposit, the remaining balance is due at check-in. All of your resort information can be found online on My Disney Experience, if you need to modify or cancel your reservation for any reason. If by chance your plans change, guests are required to give at least 5 days notice prior to your arrival for a room only reservation.
On the other hand, if you decide to purchase a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package, that includes both Theme Park Tickets and a Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay, the balance remaining is due 30 days prior to your arrival. With the vacation package, you are also able to make payments toward your balance owing in
My Disney Experience at your convenience. Once the initial deposit is paid, guests are also able to make
Theme Park Reservations for their stay in My Disney Experience.
If you choose to purchase
Theme Park Tickets only, the entire balance is due at the time of purchase. Theme Park Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable, but if plans change the value of your expired Theme Park Tickets can be applied toward the purchase of new Theme Park Admission. As always, please read the terms and conditions on your confirmation for any purchase you make, as they are subject to change.
I hope you found this information useful, Maureen. If you have any other questions please come back and visit us again at
planDisney. We are always happy to help.
