Hi! I stayed at Disney world for 2 weeks in 2012 and have just booked our Honeymoon for 2018! We spent a lot of great time at downtown Disney....Is it still there or been replaced with Disney Springs? Thank you for your time Johanna

    Hello Jo,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations on celebrating your honeymoon at Walt Disney World! I'm certain you'll create many magical memories that you'll cherish for years to come.

If you enjoyed great times at the Walt Disney World shopping and dining destination known as Downtown Disney, I genuinely believe you will fall in love with Disney Springs. I enjoyed many great visits to Downtown Disney with my family as we strolled from the Marketplace to the West Side and popped into the all the shops and food stops. Now think of Downtown Disney completely re-imagined and transformed into a vibrant, walkable waterfront hub of signature dining, casual eateries, upscale shopping, and unique entertainment. In my opinion, Disney Springs is a multi-day, multi-visit destination. Of course, you'll still find favorites like World of Disney. But now you'll also find amazing discoveries like Enzo's Hideaway and beyond delicious food experiences like Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and Paddlefish and The Boathouse. I simply can't begin to list off all the delightful surprises that will call out to you as you wander the locale. Best of all, I think, is the overall theming and design and personality of this beautiful space called Disney Springs.

Jo, I think you'll experience many great times at Disney Springs. Celebrate well.

    Enjoy your Disney!

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
