I've stayed in Disney before & this is my 1st time in the cabin @ Fort Wilderness. Do i need a golf cart to get around? can I drive the cart to the bus terminal and park it until I return later in the day? do you recommend me renting a car instead?

    Hi Jo Ann!

I do recommend renting a golf cart for traveling within the campground, however it is not absolutely necessary.  You can take the cart pretty much anywhere on property and there is golf cart parking wherever you want to go.  You can drive it to the bus waiting area and leave it for the day if you are traveling the parks.  If you are talking about renting a car for use within Fort Wilderness, I would not suggest to do this.  There are no car parking spots at Pioneer Hall and very few spots at the pools.  If you do not have a golf cart, the internal Fort Wilderness buses will take you wherever you want to go.  Just having a golf cart is so much more fun!

To reserve a golf cart, call (407) 824-2742.

    Have a fantastic time!
