    We have never stayed at a Disney resort and are looking at all the perks to staying at the resorts. If you are at the parks and purchase items at the gift shops can you have than sent back to your room?

    Hello Jennifer.  Thank you for asking your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  My family and I opt to stay on property at Walt Disney World most of the time.  We absolutely love all the wonderful perks and recreation the resorts have to offer.

    If you are staying at any of the Walt Disney World Resorts you can have purchases made at Disney owned stores shipped back to your resort at no charge to you.  You simply tell the cashier that you would like to have your things sent back to your resort and he/she will give you a form to fill out.  Typically, your purchases are available for you to pick up from your resort gift shop the next day.  You will receive a phone call in your room when your purchases are ready for pick up.  If you don't want to wait till the following day to receive your packages you could also utilize the Souvenir Pickup options at a designated location in each theme park.  When you check out, tell your cashier you would like the Souvenir Pickup service and fill out a form.  When you are ready to leave the park, your packages will be waiting for you to pick up near the exit.  I have used both services, it is so nice not to have to carry around bags all day.  

    Since you have never stayed on property, I encourage you to give it a try.  My family and I enjoy it immensely, it makes vacationing at Walt Disney World even more relaxing.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
