In 2009 we stayed at Coronado. To get to some of the parks, we had to go to Downtown Disney and transfer buses. Hoping to avoid that later this year. Is that still the case at some resorts? If so, how do I find which resorts have direct bus to all parks?

Hi, Jason!

Welcome back to Walt Disney World. A lot of changes have taken place since 2009 so you are in for a real treat! Highlights include an expansion in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom where the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was added, and the upcoming May, 2017 opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

You should not have any trouble with the Disney buses as each resort offers direct bus transportation to the 4 theme parks and Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney). Some buses may stop at other bus stops within your resort or even at another resort before reaching the theme park, but you will not need to transfer buses regardless of your resort location.

Where transfers will occur is if you are traveling resort to resort, visiting one of the Water Parks, or the heading to the ESPN Sports Complex. These destinations take a bit more time to reach due to having to transfer. Chat with your lobby concierge if you have questions about reaching any particular destination. You will be guided to the easiest/most direct route.
