Welcome to the Moms Panel David! We're glad you're hEAR!
Disney's Coronado Springs is amazing. My family and I loved it too but we also like checking out the other resorts on our trips. We just stayed at
Port Orleans Resort - Riverside in October & really enjoyed it. The resort is smaller & more intimate than Coronado Springs.
Here are some of the things we enjoyed:
* My youngest got a big kick out of the trundle bed.
* The main pool (Ol' Man Island) was lots of fun with activities for kids. There is a playground very near the pool. They did have a hot tub too.
* The Riverside Mill food court was very spacious and offered great choices.
* We especially loved taking the boat to Downtown Disney. It was very peaceful and relaxing.
* The recreation options they offered were great. If you've got family members who love the outdoors, they'll love the Fishin' Hole stocked with bass, blue gill & catfish which offers catch & release cane pole fishing. If you're looking for something a little bigger, guided fishing excursions are available daily (call 407-WDW-BASS to book).
* Young buccaneers ages 4 - 12 can set sail on the Bayou Pirate Adventure (call 407-WDW-PLAY).
* Carriage rides are available at POR (call 407-WDW-PLAY).
* The Riverside Levee Marina offers pontoon, Boston Whaler Montauk & Sea Raycer rentals. Surrey bike & bikes rentals are also available.
* The Medicine Show Arcade is lots of fun for teens.
Be sure to ask if Yeehaw Bob is playing at the River Roost Lounge. He is great.
Please feel free to visit with any other questions. It is a pleasure to assist you!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
