Stayed at CBR, AKL in the past. Booked this August for AOA Lion King Suite after changing it from POR Royal Guestroom for more space. Considering the Cabins as well. Do you have to stay at the Cabins to be able to attend Chip N Dales Campfire?

Howdy Pelar and thanks so much for the question!

The campfire program at Fort Wilderness is one of my family's favorite "out of the parks" activities at Walt Disney World.  I am pleased to report that all Walt DIsney World Resort hotel guests are welcome to attend this special offering regardless of which resort they are staying in!  And the best part is the fact that it's absolutely FREE!

I have stayed in the cabins on numerous occasions and my family has always really enjoyed having the extra space and we just love the relaxed, laid back atmosphere.  We are from the NC mountains, so the rustic decor reminds us of "home."

I have also been fortunate enough to tour the all-new Art of Animation Resort which JUST opened and let me tell you... this resort is simply AMAZING!  You guys will be totally immersed in your favorite Disney and Pixar films from the moment you step foot on the property!  It's always nice to be among the first guests to stay at a resort... you still get that "new room smell."

So really, you can't go wrong with either choice!  The big differences for me is location and also the fact that the cabins have a full kitchen.  I love the fact that at Fort Wilderness, I'm only minutes from the Magic KIngdom via a relaxing boat ride along Bay Lake and it's nice to be able to cook a meal here and there if need be.  It really just depends on your unique needs!

    Best Wishes,
