stayed at caribbean and coronado, didn't like coronado as main pool not near food ct. Which of PO river. or f.q.is closer to food ct and easier to get around?- Also, my kids are scared of the serpent, so how are the other pools at fq?

Korri, both Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter have separate food courts.  However, if you want to steer clear of serpents, Port Orleans Riverside is your resort of choice!

PO Riverside has it's own themed pool and playground, Ole Man Island, located in the middle of the resort.  I've looked at some resort maps and the closest buildings to both the dining areas AND pool seem to be building 85 (Magnolia Terrace)  and building 14.  You can request rooms in these buildings, although depending on availability, your request may not be honored.  If the rooms are unavailable, tell the cast member that being close to dining, transportation and the pool area is your main priority -- again, there are no guarantees, but I have found that Disney tries very hard to accommodate their guests and they will help get you as close as possible.

If you find your children don't like Ole Man Island for some reason, there are several quiet pools located throughout the resort.

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
