Hello! I've stayed at the Boardwalk a few times several years ago and if I recall correctly, the pool never actually "closed" the lifeguards were just off duty. Is this still the same? We typically like to swim late after the parks. Thanks!

    Hi Chandler,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

The policy regarding the use of pools and other Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools changed a few years ago, for safety reasons. Although, from what I remember Guests used to be able to swim even when lifeguards were off-duty, that is no longer the case. The swim areas are completely closed to Guests as of a certain time, between 10:00 pm and midnight, depending on the time of year.

The Lobby Concierge at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, or any other Walt Disney World Resort hotel that you may choose for your upcoming vacation, will be more than happy to provide you with more information about the pool’s hours when you check in for your stay.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
