We have stayed at the Art of Animation resort before in the Little Mermaid rooms. This trip, we are staying in the Nemo suites, but remember hearing the pelicans calling "MINE" during the day. What time of night/evening does this stop?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen! You will adore staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, where the characters are larger than life and so is the fun! I stayed here this fall with my friends for an adult trip, and we had the best time touring around Radiator Springs and the Cozy Cone Motel!

Yes, to answer your question, the Seagulls atop the Finding Nemo building do speak! They claim, “MINE! MINE! MINE!” every 15 minutes during the day, but are timed to stop around 8pm, and they do not wake up until at least 8am the next morning. Any small ones that are staying with you should have trouble falling asleep, though you can ask for a room that is on the other end of the Nemo complex if you have early-to-sleep kiddos. Cast Members can’t guarantee room placement, but they will do everything in their power to assist you. As frequent as the seagulls do call, I only heard them exclaim once during my visit… it was lots of fun over my outdoors lunch.

If you have any more questions about staying at the Art of Animation Resort, please let me know, and in the meantime, Just Keep Swimming! ~ Lindsey P.
