Hi there, Krista!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to discuss your winter getaway to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. There's nothing better than escaping to sunny Florida while Elsa is busy making things frosty up north. You're going to have the best time ever!
At this time, no January closure has been announced for the
Disney Skyliner. In 2024, the Disney Skyliner was shut down for routine maintenance from January 16-26, and Guests were notified in mid-October of the scheduled winter closure. I recommend following the
Disney Parks Blog and checking your resort's web page for updates on future refurbishments and closures that could impact your stay. These are typically highlighted in red font on an affected resort's home page.
I wish I had more exact information regarding 2025's potential Disney Skyliner maintenance! It's my favorite part of the
Walt Disney World Transportation System, so I'll keep my fingers crossed you can take flight in January. Speaking of transportation, did you know that the end of your holiday coincides with the beginning of
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend? This won't be a problem, but if you're taking a bus to the theme parks on January 9th or 10th, plan to leave a few minutes earlier in case buses have to route around the runners.
I hope this has been helpful, Krista. Best wishes for an unforgettable stay at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Before I go, I'll share one final tip. I travel to Florida every winter, and temperatures can range from sweater weather to sweat
ing weather, so be prepared to experience multiple climates. You might need bathing suits one day and heavy coats the next - pack for all seasons! Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney, and have a magical day!
