Ahoy Mark!
I’m so happy to hEAR that you have plans to cruise on one of the
Disney Magic at Sea itineraries. Since these are brand new to Disney Cruise Line, Captain Mickey has made some changes to how to make reservations for certain activities and entertainment. So it would be my pleasure to help you navigate the cruise planning waters.
I am impressed that you are already learning about and taking advantage of the reservation system for things like the Youth Clubs and
Goofy’s Pool. Just trying to maximize the fun on your staycation vacation. You can explore all the current details about the
Disney Magic at Sea Experience Updates as your voyage approaches!
Frankly, we have no idea what the virtual queue wait times will be because the system has never been used before. I could speculate on how long the queue might be, but that would be purely guesswork on my part. Instead, I would rather rely on Guests’ feedback when these voyages start sailing. I’ll bet that you will be able to experience the Pool Deck on the same day that the kids are scheduled to be in the
Youth Clubs, even if that means opting to rejoin the virtual queue for the pool later in the day.
Since we are talking about the virtual queue, I need to remind you to have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded with location services and notifications enabled. Sounds like you are already aware of this, but the app is the means by which you will use the virtual queue system to reserve time at the Goofy’s Pool Deck Area and AquaLab Deck Area. It will also be useful to communicate directly with Guest Services and other onboard teams via the new live chat feature. So if you run into challenges with scheduling activities, you could also check with Guest Services to see what the options were. I’m certain you will be able to experience as much of the Disney magic while onboard the actual
Disney Magic!
Mark, I trust that you will come back to planDisney if you need us again. Wishing you a MAGICal time at sea with Captain Mickey!
Happy Sailing!
