Ahoy there, Sacha!
Welcome to planDisney! No wonder that your son now wants to tag along on your
Disney Magic at Sea sailing-it looks like they are having loads of fun! (
As a mom of a teenage boy too, I know all about their sudden changes of heart.) I’ve seen tons of characters onboard on their
Disney Magic at Sea Instagram account, and it’s making ME want to join you, too!
The starting point for your request is to call Disney Cruise Line at 0800 171 2317. (However, if you booked using a Travel Agent, then you would ask the agent to handle this request for you.) As always, Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to restrict any changes to a reservation, and all changes are subject to availability.
Adding a Guest is also specific to your reservation, so I really can’t say for sure whether you will be able to or not. Sounds like you have chosen a
Disney Magic stateroom that sleeps 5, so the only other question is what the capacity of the ship is. My understanding is that when the ship gets close to capacity, then Captain Mickey has to make sure the numbers of Guests for the various stateroom assignments also works from a safety standpoint with the lifeboat capacity and zones of the ship.
I am also assuming that your cruise reservation does NOT have any restrictions. If the reservation has restrictions, then a whole different set of rules applies to that booking. Most restricted reservations are non-transferable and non-refundable.
So the only way to find out if he can join you on your stateroom reservation is to go ahead and call Disney Cruise Line ASAP. Especially since you will be setting sail in just a few days! Sending you lots of pixie dust that you are able to make this happen and that your son will be able to experience
all the magic with your family and friends.
Bon Voyage!
