If I stay at the Yacht club and then go on a Disney Cruise using the Disney Cruiseline Bus, can I return to the Yacht club, use their bell services to hold my luggage while we spend the day at the parks waiting for our late flight home?

Ahoy there, Kimberly, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’re planning the perfect nautical adventure: a Land and Sea package that includes a stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort before embarking on a Disney Cruise adventure, so let’s explore how we can ensure smooth sailing for your entire vacation.

The Yacht and Beach Club are two of my favorite resorts, so I can understand why you’d want to start and end your voyage there. If you book Ground Transportation through Disney, you’ll receive an email with detailed instructions 48 hours before your sail date so you know exactly when the shuttle will pick you up and where to place your luggage as well. You’ll also receive similar instructions and new luggage tags in your stateroom the night before debarkation to help you transition from sea back to land.

While you can book round-trip shuttle service through Disney, I had to consult with a helpful Disney Cruise Line representative on whether or not you can utilize Bell Services for the day upon your return. Because it doesn’t seem that you will have a reservation at the resort for that evening, it will depend on whether or not there is enough space and availability for their current Guests staying at the resort that evening. The Cast Member also recommended reaching out to the Yacht Club directly for this inquiry.

If you’ve also booked shuttle service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) from the resort, you’ll likely be picked up about three hours prior to your flight, so make sure to consider that when allotting time for travel back from whichever park you choose. I’ve been known to cut it a little close when trying to eat one last Mickey raspberry macaron from the France Pavilion before saying “Au revoir!” to my friends at EPCOT.

I can already picture the adorable character countdown ticking away on your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, Kimberly. If you think of any other questions, feel free to chat with a DCL representative online or head back to us here at planDisney, where we’ll be snacking with you in solidarity!

    Embrace the magic,
