We would like to stay at Ft Wilderness from 12/28-1/1. Someone suggested we get a travel agent because they can watch for cancellations. Can someone help me with this?

    Hello Tanya,

Welcome, and thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with such a great question for us to help you with.

The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are amongst my most favorite of the Disney Resorts Collection.  My family and I have spent several memorable vacations staying within this beautiful, and oh-so rustic location and one of the things we love so much is that "The Fort" is only actually a short ferry boat ride away from the enchantment of the Magic Kingdom Park.

Tanya, it sure is possible to privately engage the services of a specialist Disney travel agent who can make travel arrangements on your behalf!  To locate your nearest travel agency, my best suggestion would be for you to Google the term "Disney EarMarked Travel Agent" before beginning to make any enquiries about which services they currently provide, including watching for any appropriate cancellations.

I hope that I've been able to provide a little assistance for you today Tanya.  If you should have any further questions for me regarding an upcoming vacation to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort, then please don't hesitate to pop back to me here at planDisney.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
