When we stay at Wilderness Lodge we always walk over to Fort Wilderness. I saw the nature trail is closed because of construction. Is the nature trail the path to Fort Wilderness or is that something different.

    Hi Cynthia,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

We’ve stayed at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge before and taken the trail over to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. From what I remember, there are two paths - a paved trail and the unpaved “Nature Trail” that runs alongside Bay Lake. I believe that is the only trail that will be closed while Disney’s Wilderness Lodge undergoes its refurbishments.

Because construction plans can change at any time, I would definitely recommend asking about which trails are and aren’t open when you check in. Make sure to get a Resort Map and have the Cast Member point out which trails, if any, will be closed during your stay.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
