We want to stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge but do not know whether to pick Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge. What is the difference? Which is the newest one?

    Well howdy, Jessica!

I couldn't be more excited to share information with you about my two favorite Disney Vacation Club properties at Walt Disney World Resort. Both Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins call Disney's Wilderness Lodge home and share all the amenities of this breathtaking deluxe resort. However, there are several distinctions that may help you make your decision as to where your family should stay on your upcoming vacation.

    1. Copper Creek Villas & Cabins is the newest Disney Vacation Club resort at Walt Disney World. It opened almost exactly one year ago on July 17th.

    2. If anyone in your travel party loves Bambi, choose Boulder Ridge Villas as the title character and his woodland friends figure prominently in the recently refurbished decor there.

    3. Larger parties (with more than 8 guests) can stay in a three-bedroom villa at Copper Creek Villas, but the largest accommodation at Boulder Ridge Villas is the two bedroom villa which sleeps 8.

    4. Families who prefer to be off the beaten path will prefer Boulder Ridge Villas. It occupies its own freestanding structure while the Copper Creek Villas are physically attached to the main lodge.

    5. If you want to stay in a cabin with its own hot tub along the shores of Bay Lake, then the Cascade Cabins of Copper Creek Villas & Cabins are for you.

Good luck with your choice! Either way, you can't go wrong.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
