Hey there, Elizabeth!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by. I just love a visit with a split stay. I will admit that, initially, I was worried about navigating two different resort stays with my family; however, after doing it once, I feel like an unofficial professional. My biggest tip is to pack your outfits based on your stays. We usually keep everything we need for our first resort in one bag and use everything else in a separate suitcase. That way, we don't have to unpack everything, and we are ready to move on to our next resort when it is time.
The best news is you don’t have to call when booking a second resort! Both
Disney Resorts will show up on your
My Disney Experience account once they have been booked. Keep in mind, you will see an overlap of checking out and checking in on the day you make your switch, but don’t worry, that’s normal. A great
benefit of staying at a Disney Resort is the magical help from Bell Services that you receive. Simply drop off your bags with them before checking out of your first resort, and with the wave of the wand, you’ll find your bags at your next Disney Resort. All you need to do is let the Cast Members at Bell Services know where you are heading next, and your luggage will meet you there. Once you arrive at your second resort, stop at their bell service location and either pick up your luggage or have them bring it to your room. It’s so easy!
You will have two separate
pre-arrival booking dates with a split stay. One for the first resort, the other for the second resort. So just keep that in mind when scheduling your dining reservations or other fun
Enchanting Extras like a delicious dessert party!
Elizabeth, I hope this helps answer your question. Please visit us again if there’s anything else we can help with or if you need any resort recommendations. We here at planDisney are always happy to help.
Enjoy your stay,
Shantel
