Hello, Katherine and welcome back to planDisney!
Katherine, while I love handing over my keys and
letting Mickey Mouse take care of the driving, waiting too long for a bus does make me feel a bit like
Sadness from Inside Out so I appreciate this question! Now, in order to bring a little more
Joy into your bus ride, let’s talk about strategy.
Before we begin, let me quickly remind you that buses are officially scheduled to begin 45 minutes prior to park opening and are scheduled to pick up guests approximately every 20 minutes. Now, Katherine, as bus times are affected by attendance, resort capacity and even things like red lights and pixie dust, these are only estimates. I have typically found that buses start running earlier than the posted time and my family’s strategy has been to arrive at the bus stop
at least an hour (usually more) before park opening to be among the first Mouseketeers on the bus.
Katherine, it might also be helpful to know that since
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has extensive grounds, you’ll find dedicated bus stops in the following sections (in order): The Grandstand, followed by The Carousel, The Paddock, Congress Park and finally The Springs. Depending upon the location of your room, you’ll want to locate the closest bus stop AND if you are in walking distance to two bus stops, I recommend selecting the one from this list that picks up earlier. For example, if you have
booked a preferred room you’ll be in The Springs or the Congress Park section. The bus picks up at Congress Park prior to The Springs, so if it’s only a few more steps, I would head to the Congress Park bus stop in the morning.
Katherine, I hope this helps as you’re thinking ahead and planning out your park arrival. If you have any other questions, please
come on back to planDisney where we love to help guests create Magical vacations.
Lauren
