We stay staying at the POR starting Dec 5. I will be able to start booking dining tomorrow. What time should I book breakfast buffets at other resorts if we are using the bus system? I want to allow us enough time to get to each reservation. Thanks!

    Hi Malorie!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

It's always exciting when the date arrives to make your advanced dining reservations - the six-month countdown to your vacation can now begin!

It is recommended to allow 60-90 minutes' travelling time when going from one Walt Disney World Resort to another. This is not just the travelling time, but also time taken walking to/from the bus stops, and waiting for the buses.   You will need to take a bus to one of the four theme parks, or Downtown Disney (you can also take a boat to Downtown Disney), and then transfer to another bus to your chosen resort for breakfast.

The Disney Transportation System begins operating around an hour before the theme park opens, so if you check the calendar for each park (i have put links to the calendars below) you will see if the park is opening at 9.00 am, or operating Extra Magic Hours that day and therefore opening at 8.00 am.

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation.
