Ahoy, Kay!
Thanks for cruising by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I'm happy to hear you're planning an upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! For Guests who combine a Disney Cruise vacation with a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, it's very simple to set up Disney Ground Transfers to
Port Canaveral (Disney Cruise Line's home port). Ground transfers currently cost $35 per person each way (prices always subject to change), and can be arranged by calling the folks at Disney Cruise Line at (800)951-3532. Disney Cruise Line ground transfers guarantee a seamless transition from land to sea and back again!
You'll receive instructions in your resort room the night before you set sail, telling you what time and where your luggage will be picked up and transported to the ship. (Typically around 8am, and it will be picked up from inside your resort room). Make sure to pack a day bag with your cruise documents, passports (or other forms of ID), medications, valuables, etc. since it will be late afternoon on the ship before you're reunited with your checked bags. You'll also be given a time and place to meet your motorcoach, typically between 11:00am and 1:30pm.
Once you board the bus, it's a quick trip to Port Canaveral and you'll soon board the ship to sail away with Captain Mickey and his crew!
I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
