Would like to stay at POFQ but Pop has preferred rooms for proximity to bus.Does POFQ offer the same? Elderly parents concerned about a longer walk from bus to room. Also, if the bus is shared with PO Riverside, how much time do you add to travel time.

    Hi Theresa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question.  I am happy to hear your are considering Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter with your parents, it is a great choice for older guests as the resort is one of the smallest on Disney Property and is relatively easy to get around.  There are no preferred rooms for that very reason!  You will have the option for room views, however, even the standard rooms are great!   If you are concerned about the walk to the buses and dining, I would suggest to request building four.  It is just outside both the restaurant and the bus stop!

In terms of sharing a bus with Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, I would add approximately 15 -20 minutes to your trip heading to the Theme Parks.  Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter is typically picked up and dropped off first, so you will not add any time coming home.  During busy times, both Resorts will have their own buses, however, it is not guaranteed.

I hope my answer helped Theresa.  If you have any other questions, please let me know.  I would be more than happy to help make your "Disney Time" even more magical!
