Hi! We would like to stay at one of the moderate hotels. Which one do you recommend? The important things on our list is a great large pool for the kids and a great quick service dining area, which has a lot of options. Many thanks!

  • Hi Renee!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! When I think of the moderate resorts, the first resort to pop up in my mind is Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. This resort is fabulous! The main pool is large and is located in the heart of the resort and offers a fun slide. There are also 5 smaller pools located throughout the resort. You will find that there are many room options as well, including a Royal Guest Room which is a princess themed room. Personally, I like the "preferred rooms" located in Alligator Bayou. These rooms can accommodate up to 5 guests and are located next to the Sassagoula Steamboat Company building which is where the Riverside Mill food court is located. This is one of my favorite food courts as it features an amazing "Create-Your-Own Pasta" station. Since this resort is located within walking distance to Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort, you could also head over there and dine at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. Be sure to try their delicious beignets! When planning your trip, I would highly recommend that you set aside a day to enjoy the amenities and different recreation options such as the carriage rides or the surrey bikes. Keep in mind that some recreation options recommend reservations and are available for a fee.

Renee, it has been an absolute pleasure assisting you and I am sure that no matter what resort you choose, you will have an amazing time!

    Yael
