If I was to stay at OKW for a few days then go to Vero Beach how would I get to Vero Beach?

    Hello, Dominic!

You have a couple of options for traveling between Disney's Old Key West and Disney's Vero Beach resort.

If you'd like to drive, you can rent a car and drive there on your own. We did the opposite a few years back, and it was a pleasant ride (about 85 miles or so.) There are several ways for you to get your rental car, so I suggest reading "Car Rental Strategy for Walt Disney World: Things to Consider" by Mike Scopa. This article is posted on a great unofficial Disney site, allears.net. (This will give you options to consider if you're thinking of renting a car for the drive. We chose to pick ours up at Orlando International Airport, MCO, and return it to a location just across the street from Downtown Disney, which is easy to get to.) You can also contact your favorite rental car company to find out if pick up and drop off are available on Disney property for them.

Mears can also arrange car service for you, should you rather let someone else do the driving. We've used this service when traveling from MCO to Port Canaveral for a cruise as well as to get from MCO to a resort. Their service has always been friendly and trustworthy; I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

I hope this helps you decide how you'll be heading from one form of paradise to another! Let me know if you have any additional questions, too. I'd love to help!
