If we stay 4 nights at the Grand Californian then want to stay 2 nights at the Disneyland Hotel, will the resort transfer our luggage to the second resort for us? We will not have a vehicle with us. Thanks!

    Hey Tiffany!

I’m so glad you brought your question here to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There is nothing more magical than a stay at the Disneyland Resort.

The Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are my two favorite resorts on property. I love the craftsman-style elegance of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and it’s convenient entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. I love relaxing by one of the fireplaces after a fun day at the parks. The Disneyland Hotel is so iconic and you can feel the magic just walking the grounds. Each one of the towers pays homage to Disneyland Park’s original lands created by none other than Walt Disney. My top picks for dining are GCH Craftsman Bar at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel.

If you’re like me, you might enjoy what’s referred to as a split stay. This is very common at Walt Disney World and split stays are the only way to go when I travel to Walt Disney World. It can definitely be done at the Disneyland Resort as well. Staying at The Disneyland Hotel for two nights and then staying at Disney’s Grand Californian & Spa for four nights would be considered a split stay. I love that you get to experience two very different resorts in one trip. It’s almost like taking two vacations! It’s especially nice because the two resorts are themed so differently that it will feel like you’ve arrived at a new destination when you make the switch. I wish that Bell Services would transfer the luggage over for you but it is not a service that is offered at this time. I would recommend that you stayed at The Disneyland Hotel first and then on the day you switch to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, that you walk down your luggage to the resort on your way to the parks. It’s about a five minute walk and you’ll already be walking that same way anyway. At that time, Bell Services would be more than happy to hold your items until your room is ready. You’re free to enjoy the parks or the Downtown Disney District until your room is ready. Give Bell Services a call and they’ll bring your stuff right up!

Well Tiffany, I hope you consider a split stay and love them just as much as I do. It will be sure to bring double the magic to your trip.

Remember, always believe in the magic!
