If I stay the night at Disney resort the night before my cruise and am staying at Disney resort when I return from the cruise am I able to leave my car parked at the resort and take the shuttle

    Hiya, William!

Oh boy! A land and sea adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort and aboard the Disney Cruise Line is certainly the way my family loves to vacation too. You are going to have an epic time.

Because overnight parking at Disney Resorts Collection hotels is reserved for Guests during their stay at the resort, you'll need to relocate your vehicle during your Disney cruise. Fortunately, there's a perfect spot that I would recommend. It's right next to your cruise ship terminal at Port Canaveral in a safe and secure parking garage. You'll be able to drop off your luggage with porters by the terminal, then take a quick left turn into the parking garage, which is a very short walk across a sky bridge to the terminal.

Normally, I'd recommend purchasing ground transportation to and from the port from Disney Cruise Line. It's a great way to make the transition between your world adventure and your sea adventure as seamless as possible. But since you'll already have a form of transportation at your disposal, it may end up being more convenient and allow you to maximize your time at Walt Disney World even more. As a bonus, it may end up being less expensive to park at the port, depending on how many people are in your party and how many nights are on your cruise itinerary.

My family and I have opted to park our vehicle at the port during various cruises and we have never regretted it. At the end of our cruise, the sky bridge makes it so quick and easy to return to our vehicle with our luggage and quickly "cruise" over to Walt Disney World without having to wait for any other passengers. The drive is just over one hour if you take the route with tolls, which are only a few dollars each way. To make up for not being on a Disney bus, we'll play our usual Disney road trip music from my phone to keep the vacation theme consistent.

I hope you have an amazing time during your extended Disney Parks vacation, William!
