I am going to stay for 17 night december 2011 at coronado springs resort, I am planning on buying the deluxe dining option, but I will NOT be at disney parks the whole 16 days, do I have to buy the plan for 17 nights? can I buy a dining plan for just 10 ni

I know I'd be thrilled to have a seventeen night vacation on the horizon; good for you, Humberto!  As for the dining plan, if purchased, it is a length of stay type of thing, meaning that it must be purchased (as part of a vacation package) for each and every night of your stay.  The only solution I can suggest would be to do a split stay.  In that case, you'd book two separate reservations for the Coronado Springs; one would include the dining package and your theme park tickets, while the other would be a room only stay.  You would use the dining plan portion for your time on Disney property, and then you'd eat elsewhere during the room only portion.  Does that make sense?  You may or may not be required to switch room for the second portion of your stay.  It's the only way I can think of to use the Disney dining plan for just a portion of your trip.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
