Hi Moms! Will stay at new AoA & POFQ in Oct ('12 or '13) with DH, DD (4 or 5) & DS (6 or 7). Would like breaks on park days for EP, HS and MK. How much time for midday breaks - 2 hrs enough? or 3? Are Disney buses the best option or rental car?

    Hi Diane:

Mid-day breaks are a must for my family when we vacation in Walt Disney World.  It provides our family (both toddlers AND adults) a great chance to recharge, take a nap, a dip in the pool, a stroll around our Resort, and/or a shower to get refreshed for the evening.  We usually arrive at Park opening, spend our mornings and lunchtime in the Parks, then return to our Resort for a break, budgeting about three or so hours, which includes commuting time to and from our Resort.  Your needs may be different,  but hopefully that gives you an idea what's work for my family in the past.

My family always relies on Disney's complimentary Resort transportation to get around property.  I would only consider renting a car if staying at certain out of the way Resorts (not Port Orleans French Quarter), or if I had plans to spend time off-property.

    Enjoy your vacation.
