    If you stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel, are you able to book your Lightening Lane selections at 7am or do you need to wait for park opening?

    Hey there, Heather! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question about Disney Genie + and I would be happy to get you some answers.

    While Disneyland and Walt Disney World may share some options and extras, such as Disney Genie +, the details of the service are slightly different for each resort. At Disneyland Resort, there aren't extra perks with Disney Genie + because you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel or Good Neighbor Hotel. Anyone who has the Disney Genie + service for the day will be able to make their first Lightning Lane selection once your ticket has been scanned into your starting park for the day. 

    Once you have your first Lightning Lane selection, you can make your next selection two hours later, or once you have redeemed your first Lightning Lane selection whichever comes first. If your Lightning Lane selection is more than two hours later, I suggest setting an alarm on your phone so that you don't forget. Time easily gets away from you when you are in the midst of the magic. 

    My favorite Disneyland Resort exclusive perk to Disney Genie + is getting unlimited digital PhotoPass downloads throughout the day. This is for both photos from PhotoPass locations around the park with photographers as well as attraction photos. Just show them your PhotoPass Code in your Photos section of the Disneyland app and they will drop into your account throughout the day.
