As they say in the wilderness
"Howdy Jayme!" and thanks for bringing such a great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I'm super excited to hEar your lovely group is planning on a fun stay at one of my own families favourite Disney destinations -
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. We absolutely love escaping to the peacefulness of this tranquil Resort after spending a busy day enjoying the Disney Theme Parks; it really is a beautiful and lush oasis of calm!
I'd like to begin by reassuring you that although camping loops are separate to those loops containing cabins I think it would still work for a group of folks to stay in both locations yet still be 'together' and I can say this as I've had personal experience of staying in a cabin and visiting my good friend and fellow
Disney Parks Moms Panelist Kay who along with her family often enjoys extended
Fort stays in her RV in the camping loops. When visiting Kay I've simply hopped on an internal Fort Wilderness bus and hopped off again at her stop - it really is that easy!
It may also be useful to know Guests can place requests for particular loops during
Online Check-in or by speaking with a helpful Cast Member by dialling the number for Disney Resort Hotel Reservations contained within this
Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory. Although it is worth bearing in mind that requests can never be guaranteed.
