Hiya, Judy, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to hEAR that you’re planning a visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth, and I’d love to help you get started!
There are so many
benefits offered to Guests staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, from
Extra Magic Hour to easy park access to preferred-access reservations. But one of my favorite perks is called
Package Express, which allows Resort Guests to send theme-park purchases directly to their Disneyland Resort Hotel, at no extra charge! Simply ask a Cast Member about this merchandise delivery service when you’re paying for the items, and consider it done! Just keep in mind that your merchandise may not be available for pick-up at the hotel’s Bell Services desk until the following morning.
If you prefer to have your merchandise as soon as you leave the theme parks, there's another complimentary option, called
Package Check Service. This service is available to all theme-park Guests, and can be done at any of these locations: Stroller Rentals (located just outside the Main Entrance of
Disneyland Park, and adjacent to the Kennel), Elias & Company (Disney California Adventure Park), Port Royal (Disneyland Park), or The Star Trader (Disneyland Park). Your merchandise can be held at any of those locations until park closing.
My friends recently utilized Package Check Service after purchasing a Custom Astromech Droid Unit from
Droid Depot, and it was a lifesaver to help them avoid carrying it around all day! Droids and
Handbuilt Lightsabers can also be held at Droid Depot, located in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, though they would also need to be picked up by park closing. If you're park hopping, the Stroller Rentals location may be easier to come by at the end of the day, since it’s located on The Esplanade between the two theme parks.
Have you decided where you’d like to stay yet? You simply can’t go wrong with any of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels! I have stayed at all three hotels, and I love being immersed in the magic 24/7! I enjoy the convenience and elegance of
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, though I also adore the classic Disney nostalgia offered at the
Disneyland Hotel. Plus, the view of Disney California Adventure Park from
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel simply can’t be beat!
Please stop by with any additional planning questions, Judy… I’m all EARs!
