I would like to stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. We plan on getting a suite that over looks one of the savannas. Would you recommend this with a 4yr old? Best places to eat with a 4yr old? Best Charcter Dining? Would you recommend Cirque du Sole?

    Hi Mandy!

I think Animal Kingdom Lodge is perfect for a 4 year old.  Animal Kingdom Lodge is my youngest son's favorite Walt Disney World Resort.  It's really hard to beat having the ability to look at exotic animals from your hotel window!

With regards to character dining, there are definitely a lot to chose from!  If you have a daughter, then I suggest Cinderella's Royal Table inside Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom.  If you have a son, then I recommend Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort.  Another good character dining experience for is Crystal Palace if your 4 year old likes Winnie the Pooh and friends!

One of the best places to dine with a 4 year old is Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge.  It's a lot of fun for the whole family, but children especially enjoy it there.  Another great place is the Sci Fi Dine In Theater in Disney's Hollywood Studios.  While it has a limited menu, the atmosphere is outstanding.  Most children love eating in a car at the dive in!

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend Cirque du Soleil.  However, I took my youngest son there when he was five and a half and he absolutely enjoyed it.  I didn't think he would, but he did.  It really surprised me.  So if you want to see the show, which is fabulous, then I recommend going.  I just don't recommend going if your sole reason for going is that you want to do it for your 4 year old!

Enjoy planning your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
