If you stay at the Disneyland hotel or the Disney Pier Hotel, is the tram still available to take over to the park and is it included in the cost of staying at the hotel?

    Hi Tamara!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending your Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR!

Oooh, I love the idea of your upcoming visit to Mickey's house. Staying so close to the magic at a Disneyland Resort Hotel is fun, but I think having close access to a pool for those sunny SoCal summer days is the best untapped detail. Did you know that Guests of a Disneyland Resort Hotel are welcome to use the pool as soon as they arrive and also on their departure day, both before their guestroom is ready and long after they've checked out? There is even a shower area with a hairdryer at each pool deck, so be sure to bring your swim stuff in your carry-on so you can really soak up your first and last Disney days!

I'm so sorry to say but there isn't a tram between any of the Disneyland Resort Hotels and the two Disneyland Resort Theme Parks. The pool at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel had been under a bit of a refurbishment lately, and during that work there were complimentary golf cart rides over to the Disneyland Hotel so guests of the Pier could have a place to swim. But, I'm very happy to say that the walk between the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel is less than .7 of a mile and takes about 15 minutes to walk. Even better is that your walk is through the super fun Downtown Disney District where you'll get a peek at some of the souvenEARs you can purchase in the parks.

Should you need a different kind of ride to make this journey, Disneyland has a featured provider of ECV and Wheelchair rentals with Scooterbug of Anaheim. I've rented a stroller with Scooterbug and I really like that they can drop off your rented item and pick it back up from the Bell Services desk of your Disneyland Resort Hotel, you don't have to meet them for either step! It's like your very own pumpkin stagecoach is just ready for you when you arrive.

Bonus tip: click here for a map of the two hotels, the Downtown Disney District, and The Esplanade, which is directly between the entrances of both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

I hope that this helped to plan your upcoming Disney days, Tamara! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort Vacation Planning Questions, We're All Ears!
