Hey There, Tammy!
Welcome to planDisney. If you ask me, the only thing better than getting to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is getting to stay at
two Disney Resorts Collection hotels –– often, you'll hear this referred to as a Split Stay and it's one of my family's favorite things to do when we visit
Walt Disney World Resort. With unique theming, different dining options, and tons of activities, it's almost like getting two vacations in one. I'm so excited to hear that you're thinking of a Split Stay during your upcoming visit –– I think you're going to love it!
Not only will you have the benefit of
world-class accommodations and plenty of Disney details at each Resort, but you won't have to worry about the logistics of transferring your luggage –– that's because Bell Services will be happy to transfer your luggage between
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, free of charge. On the morning of your move, all you'll need to do is call Bell Services to pick up your luggage (or take it right to the Bell Services desk on your own) and let them know that you'll be transferring to a new Resort. Then, you're free to head to a Walt Disney World theme park or make your way over to your next Resort at a leisurely pace. Once your new room is ready, simply stop by the Bell Services Desk at your next Resort or place a call from your room, and your luggage can be delivered right to your new home-away-from-home.
While I definitely recommend taking advantage of this service, you'll want to keep in mind that it can take several hours for your luggage to arrive at your new Resort. That means if you have items you'll need –– like medications, device chargers, or bathing suits –– I recommend packing a small bag to take these items along with you when you leave your first hotel. Also, Bell Services can't transfer any perishable food items, so if you'll be bringing any of that along with you to your next Resort, you'll need to transfer these items yourself. Otherwise, sit back, relax, and get ready to watch your luggage reappear thanks to a little Disney magic!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Tammy. If you think of new planning questions as your Walt Disney World Resort visit approaches, I hope you'll visit us again –– we're always here to help!
Happy Planning,
Amy
