Hi, Shane!
What's better than going to Walt Disney World? Going to Walt Disney World AND going on a
Disney Cruise! There is so much magic to enjoy on both land and sea, so you are in for a real adventure.
Parking at a Disney Resort Hotel is exclusively for resort guests. Since you will be checking out, you will be unable to leave your vehicle during your cruise. However, since Port Canaveral is only about an hour's drive (allow about 90 minutes in case of traffic!) your best bet will be to simply drive to the cruise terminal where you will find plenty of (paid) parking. I like this option since you can go on your own schedule pre- and post-cruise, and you will not have to pay for the motorcoach
ground transportation which is currently $90 per person round trip (price subject to change). Even with paying for parking at Port Canaveral (approximately $20 per day) it will probably still be more economical to simply drive your own car.
Ok, so the good news is that during your stay in Walt Disney World
parking for
Disney Hotel Resort guests is complimentary at both your resort and when visiting any of the
theme parks. If driving to a theme park, simply present your MagicBand+, room key, or your
MagicMobile pass when reaching a parking attendant and they will happily direct you to the parking areas. You may also opt to use
Disney Transportation including buses, monorails, boats, or the Disney Skyliner to reach your destinations.
Shane, I am so excited for your vacation. Have fun at Walt Disney World, then get ready for some high seas adventures with Captains Mickey and Minnie at the helm. See you real soon!
Cathy
