Hi Alex,
How exciting to be planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort this upcoming January! January is a lovely time to visit, and the weather is usually quite mild. Additionally, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts usually kicks off sometime in January and is included in your admission to EPCOT.
Alex, I think you will enjoy the Disney Resorts Collection hotels within the
Value Resort hotel range. These Resorts provide a great price point as well as all the benefits of staying at a
Disney Resort Collection hotel. One of my favorite Value Resort hotels is
Disney's Pop Century Resort. I love how the rooms are designed to maximize your space and the Resort itself has such fun oversized characters throughout that pay homage to icons from prior decades. It is a perfect blend of whimsy and comfort! Whenever I stay at this Resort, I usually pay for a preferred room so that I am closer to the main area and
Everything POP Shopping & Dining. Another great benefit of this Resort is that it has not only bus service to the theme parks, but it also has access to the
Disney Skyliner which transports Guests to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT to its International Gateway entrance.
Through the years and my many visits to Walt Disney World I have stayed at all of the hotels that are within the Value Resort category and I can recommend them all. I definitely recommend comparing each one in this link for the
Value Resort hotel category and see which one appeals most to your family and your budget. All of the Value Resort hotels have complimentary transportation to the theme parks and Disney Springs and the time it takes to get to each park is all very similar from one Value Resort to another. However, only
Disney's Pop Century Resort and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort offer the Disney Skyliner transportation in addition to bus service.
I hope this information helps you with choosing your Disney Resort Collection hotel for your upcoming visit. Be sure to keep an eye on the ongoing
Special Offers page to see if anything pops up that may interest you. Even after you have booked your vacation, if you see an offer that you like you can call to see if it can be applied to your vacation. I have "upgraded" from staying at a Moderate Resort hotel category to a Deluxe Resort category for nearly the same price by applying a special offer that came out after I had booked my original vacation.
See Ya Real Soon,
Brenda
