Do you have to stay at a Disney resort to get to use Fast pass or just a ticket?

Hi, Shannon! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question!

Disney FASTPASS Service and Disney MaxPass are available to all Guests regardless of whether they are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel or not. The traditional Disney FASTPASS Service is included with your theme park admission and allows you to obtain FASTPASSES one at a time by visiting physical FASTPASS distribution kiosks. Disney MaxPass is available for an additional fee per ticket, per day and allows you to make FASTPASS selections on your mobile device from anywhere in the parks. Plus, downloads of all your PhotoPass photos captured on a day you use Disney MaxPass are included!

A good strategy is to obtain a FASTPASS for an attraction as soon as you can after entering the park. Then, make note of the time on the FASTPASS or the reminder ticket when you can select your next FASTPASS. If you are able to make subsequent FASTPASS selections using either the traditional service or Disney MaxPass as soon as you are able throughout the day, you will find that you can ride many attractions with very minimal waits.

I hope this clarifies things for you. Have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
