Hiya, Stephanie. Welcome to
planDisney! The
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels have some great pools! I know that when I am choosing which hotel to stay at, the pool plays a big part in that decision - especially if we are visiting in the summer months.
Each Walt Disney World Resort hotel's pool is designated for the Guests staying at that particular resort. For the most part, you are only able to use the pool at the resort hotel that you are staying at. Now, Stephanie, there are a few exceptions to that rule. If you are staying at one of the Disney All-Star Resorts you are able to use any of the pools at the three resorts. Also, Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter and Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside are considered sister hotels and since they share the same property, Guests staying at either resort can enjoy both pools as well. The last exception to that rule is Disney Vacation Club owners are able to use any of the DVC pools on property. Other than those few exceptions, pool hopping is prohibited.
If you are trying to find an amazing pool, I have a few suggestions for you. Probably the best pool on property is at Disney's Beach Club Resort.
Stormalong Bay is a 3-acre water playland that features a sand-bottomed pool - it's really cool. There's also a lazy river and several hot tubs to enjoy. When we stay at this resort, I make sure to plan plenty of downtime to enjoy this area because it really is the highlight of staying at that resort.
I hope this helps, Stephanie. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Enjoy!
Jackie H.
