Do you have to stay at a Disney resort in order to purchase a Disney Dining Plan? In other words, is a plan directly tied to your hotel reservation?

    Hi Christopher!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Disney dining plans are a great way to pay for the majority of your dining experiences in advance of your vacation! When purchasing a Disney dining plan, it must be done in conjunction with a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, which will include a Disney Resort hotel room reservation and theme park tickets. Guests will receive one set of dining entitlements per person on their reservation per night of their reservation. Unfortunately, there is no option to add a dining plan for day Guests to Walt Disney World Resort who are not staying in a Disney Resort hotel.

Even without a dining plan, you will still be able to enjoy the fantastic dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. In addition to the theme park restaurants, be sure to check out some of amazing restaurants at Disney Springs. Plus, you are free to explore the Disney Resort hotels and enjoy their fantastic restaurants even if you aren't staying there for your vacation!

Please let us know if you have other questions as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
