Hello, Valeria! It's my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney where the only thing we love more than talking about the Most Magical Place on Earth is strolling down Main Street, U.S.A.!
Valeria, as a guest who always chooses to stay at a
Disney Resort Hotel, I appreciate your question and hope I can help in your decision-making. My favorite thing about staying onsite at a Disney Resort Hotel is that I always feel like we are in the middle of the Magic and the perks are a big part of the feeling.
Complimentary transportation to and from all four theme parks and
Disney Springs is included in your stay. (
Note that you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the airport if you're flying.) Depending on the resort you choose, resort-to-park transportation could be in the form of a
bus,
water taxi,
monorail, or the
Disney Skyliner. Not worrying about driving around Walt Disney World helps keep me stress-free on vacation!
Another perk that I find beneficial is extended time in the parks. All Disney Resort Hotel guests can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry which allows you to access all four parks 30 minutes before other guests. If you choose to stay at a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort, there are also select days available for
Extended Evening Hours.
Valeria, to the next part of your question: food is not included. If you're looking for a more all-inclusive feel, guests can purchase a
Disney Dining Plan for stays beginning on January 9, 2024, however, there is an additional cost with this add-on. In order to budget and get that all-inclusive feel
without a dining plan, I like to purchase
Disney Gift Cards in the months leading up to our trip. Smaller amounts can be combined up to $1,000 per card and these can be used all around Walt Disney World.
I hope this helps as you're considering staying onsite at a Disney Resort Hotel. If you need any recommendations or need help selecting a resort that best fits your needs,
please let me know! There are so many choices and truly something for every interest and budget.
Wishing you a pixie-dusted visit,
Lauren
